Lets face it, Jason Kidd made the The Nike Zoom Flight Uptempo V. He was responsible for all the success that the shoe had during the 1990s. This was Kidds signature sneaker back when he was signed with Nike, but it has been changed to the Zoom Uptempo V Premium. Yes Nike changed the name of the sneaker, but these will always be looked as Jason Kidds sneaker.


Besides the battle of the branding, the shoe carries a pretty dope design. The shoe brings a black base with gold and white accents. Gold is seen on the small Nike Swoosh, inner lining, top lace holders, branding on the tongue, and other areas of the shoe. White is used towards the bottom of the shoe. The white just sets the whole shoe off rhythm, and just plays with the whole design. So, yes Im saying i don’t like the shoe but don’t let my opinion get in the ways of this sneaker. Adidas has a history for celebrating almost all occasions. So, why should one be left behind on Halloween? Does it seem weird to you? Well, Adidas is coming out with its Adidas TS Heat Check – Halloween model on 8^th October. There is no doubt that this TS is inspired from the bright orange color of the Halloween Pumpkin.
The shoe boasts a gradient of black/orange scheme on the upper along with three metallic silver stripes on the foxing. These stripes are unique due to their ability to change color as the temperature of the foot rises. That’s an interesting feature for sneakers-heads and others to look into. The tongue, the heel counter, the toe cap, the heel collar, the heel tab and the lace panels have all been done in glossy black patent leathers which give a really spooky look to these sneakers. The elevated contrast is given through the bright solid orange color on the laces and the midsole. And to give the perfect Halloween feel, the heel is designed with the jack-o-lantern graphic. The looks are completed with green accents on the lace lock and the outsole lugs. The mesh-work of orange to black gradient gives a unique and attractive look to these TS.

The tiger collaboration of Secret Base x atmos x New Balance 996:kixtime.com

Atmos played a unique and new collaboration by partnering with a Japanese toy shop – Secret Base and taking design help from the American tattoo artist – Chris Trevino to bring out a nice looking Secret Base x atmos x New Balance 996 | November 2010. Chris Trevino designed the Tiger art on the insoles and the stripes that cover the mudguard. The theme is inspired from the tiger of the sexagenary cycle of the current year.






Tiger stripes are also used on the edges of the N logo. Gold is the only color used to give beautiful contrast on the premium black leather base. It creates a perfect accent on the side panel, tongue, inner liner and quarter panel. Gold speckles can be found on the sole unit along the midsole and the name of every collaborator can be found on the insole. As has been found in most New Balance collaborations recently, the tiger accents makes the insoles as the most striking feature of the complete design. It can be said that arguably this is one of the best products coming out of the atmos collaborations, to date. The pair has in fact come to life with its jungle-like notorious looks. Other features of this 996 include a rubber sole unit and perforated premium leather toe box. The tiger prints can be seen in grey accents on the heel counter as well. The Secret Base x atmos x New Balance 996 | November 2010 is set to release exclusively in Japan in November 2010.

After 10 years of playing basketball, these are my favorite shoes so far. They are very comfortable, LIGHT WEIGHT, and have GREAT ankle support!! The only problem I had with the shoes is I had to get a size smaller than normal. I feel they are very durable shoes. I play college basketball and after four months they are still in great shape. However, my laces broke so I needed to purchase new ones, not a big deal. Overall though I have loved these shoes!
 
Nice construction and breathes well. Sizing does not seem to be made for a girl’s foot, though. A bit too wide across the top..
